Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Dregs (the “Service”), operated by KGoh Studios, a sole proprietorship registered in Singapore (UEN 53522802C) (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing or using Dregs, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Dregs is a web-based software service that:

  • Generates original AI-written stories in various short-form narrative styles
  • Converts those stories into short-form videos using AI text-to-speech voiceover and stock video footage
  • Provides a library of generated videos for download by registered users

All stories generated by Dregs are original works created by artificial intelligence. Dregs does not scrape, fetch, or republish third-party content.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country.

You may not use the Service if you are located in a jurisdiction where use of the Service is prohibited by law.

4. User Accounts

4.1 Registration

You register via Google OAuth authentication.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account used to access Dregs. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

4.3 Account Information

You agree to provide accurate information during registration and keep it updated.

5. Subscription Plans and Payment

5.1 Plans

The Service is offered on tiered plans (current pricing at dregs.app/pricing):

  • Free — limited features
  • Starter — $14.99/month, 30 videos/month
  • Creator — $29.99/month, 100 videos/month
  • Operator — $49.99/month, 300 videos/month

Features per tier are described on the pricing page.

5.2 Billing Cycle

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe on your billing anniversary — the day of the month you first subscribed.

Upgrades: Upgrading to a higher tier takes effect immediately. Stripe charges a prorated difference for the remainder of your current billing period. Your used credits carry over and count against the new plan’s monthly limit.

Downgrades and cancellations: Downgrading to a lower tier or cancelling takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to your current tier’s features until then. No pro-rated refunds are issued.

Reversing a cancellation: If you cancel your subscription, you can reverse the cancellation at any time before your billing period ends via your account’s subscription management. Your subscription will continue uninterrupted.

Reversing a downgrade: If you schedule a downgrade and later wish to cancel it before it takes effect, email kavan.aiaa@gmail.com with your account email. We will process reversal requests within 48 hours, provided the downgrade has not yet taken effect.

5.3 Credit Refresh

Video generation credits refresh at the start of each billing cycle (monthly, aligned with your billing anniversary date).

On upgrade, your used credits carry over and count against your new plan’s monthly limit. For example, if you used 2 credits on a 30-credit plan and upgrade to a 100-credit plan, you have 98 credits remaining for the current cycle.

Unused credits do not roll over between cycles.

5.4 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email.

5.5 Refunds

All subscription payments are non-refundable except where required by law. Contact kavan.aiaa@gmail.com within 14 days of a disputed charge.

5.6 Cancellation

You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Generate or distribute content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or infringing on others’ rights
  • Generate content depicting minors in sexualized contexts, or any child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • Generate content impersonating real persons, defaming specific individuals or organizations, or perpetrating fraud
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or clone the Service
  • Share your account credentials or resell access
  • Use automated systems to access the Service beyond intended use
  • Circumvent usage limits or credit restrictions
  • Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or third-party platform terms

Violation may result in immediate account termination without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 AI-Generated Content

All stories generated by Dregs are original AI-generated works. KGoh Studios holds copyright over the underlying prompts, systems, and generation infrastructure. Generated outputs are provided to you under license as described below.

7.2 License to Generated Videos

Subject to your active subscription and compliance with these Terms, you are granted a worldwide, royalty-free license to use generated videos for:

  • Personal use (all tiers)
  • Commercial use, including monetized content on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and similar platforms (paid tiers only, per pricing page features)

This license extends to derivative works (editing, captions, combinations with other content).

7.3 User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • Compliance with platform content policies (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, etc.)
  • Disclosure of AI-generated content where required by platform policy or law
  • Any claims arising from your distribution of generated content
  • Compliance with applicable laws in your jurisdiction

7.4 Indemnification

You indemnify and hold harmless KGoh Studios, its operators, and agents from any claims, damages, or legal costs arising from your use or distribution of generated videos, including but not limited to defamation claims, platform policy violations, or claims that generated content inappropriately resembles real persons or events.

7.5 Service IP

All rights, title, and interest in Dregs itself (code, design, brand, AI prompts, generation systems) remain the property of KGoh Studios.

8. Third-Party Services

Dregs integrates with third-party providers. Your use constitutes acceptance of their terms:

We reserve the right to refuse generation of, or remove from your account, any content we determine in our sole discretion violates these Terms, applicable law, or third-party policies. We may employ automated content moderation systems.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access:

  • For violation of these Terms
  • If required by law
  • If the Service is discontinued
  • For extended inactivity (12+ months on free tier)

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Generated videos already downloaded remain yours to use subject to Section 7.

You may terminate your account at any time through settings.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION:

  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
  • That the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • That generated videos will achieve any performance (views, engagement, revenue)
  • That AI-generated stories will be factually accurate or free from hallucinations
  • That generated content will not resemble real persons, events, or works by coincidence

You use the Service at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

KGoh Studios and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the total subscription fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which the claim is brought.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KGoh Studios from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service in violation of these Terms
  • Your use of generated videos in violation of platform policies or third-party rights
  • Any content you create or distribute using the Service

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore.

Disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation (30 days). If unresolved, the dispute shall be referred to mediation at the Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC). If mediation fails, the dispute shall be finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) under SIAC Rules. Seat: Singapore. Tribunal: one arbitrator. Language: English.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

16. General Provisions

16.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.

16.2 Severability

If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

16.3 No Waiver

Failure to enforce any right does not waive it.

16.4 Assignment

You may not assign your rights. We may assign our rights in connection with a merger or sale of assets.
